The Empty Vase

The Empty VaseUp your game this year and ditch those half-wilted flowers at the grocery store for an amazing floral arrangement from the Empty Vase in Los Angeles. Oh, and don’t worry about their sad looking website, their floral arrangements will definitely impress. If you’re not lucky enough to live near LA, I recommend looking up a local florist using Yelp. If all else fails, use an online service such as ProFlowers.com - but all they do is sub-contract out to a local florist near you anyways.

Inn of the Seventh Ray

Inn of the 7th RayLocated in the magical forest of the Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles, this is one of the most romantic restaurants I know. Visitors dine outside amongst the trees next to a bubbling creek. The food and wine are not only delicious but organic. Just remember that on Valentine’s Day, the evening will be pretty chilly. There are always plenty of heat lamps, and limited indoor seating but tell your girl to bring a coat or shawl so she doesn’t spend her romantic evening shivering in the cold.

30 Days ’till Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day. The day on which lover’s traditionally express their love for each other by giving unoriginal, insincere, Valentine’s cards, mediocre chocolates in heart-shaped boxes and overpriced roses all picked up at the last second from the local grocery store. Then the man traditionally takes his “love” to a crowded mediocre restaurant for a “romantic” dinner, all in hopes of igniting the passion for that 4-letter eros kind of love.

What ever happened to love and romance?

What ever happened to love poems?

What ever happened to chivalry?

What’s wrong with men today?
